RICHARD W. DARBY represents plaintiffs and defendants in general civil litigation; his practice includes commercial and residential real estate, corporate, banking, probate and estate planning, environmental, and administrative law. Mr. Darby graduated from the United States Military Academy (B.S., 1966), and the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D., 1973). Mr. Darby was a Captain in the U.S. Army from 1966–1970. His leadership and community service include: Chair of the Village of Waterbury Planning Commission, Director of Revitalizing Waterbury, Chair and Director of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, Director of the Central Vermont Economic Development Commission, and President and member of the Waterbury Rotary Club. He has been a partner in the firm of Darby Kolter & Roberts, LLP and predecessor firms, with offices in Waterbury and Stowe, since 1975. He is a member of the Vermont Bar Association.
